The Man Up!

About Man Up Life Skills Labs
Man Up Life Skills Labs is an interactive youth development program created by The Man Up Foundation Central Valley to help high school students build the practical skills they need for life beyond the classroom.
Designed for students in grades 9–12, the program delivers focused, engaging 60-minute workshops that help young people strengthen communication, confidence, responsibility, professionalism, leadership, and career readiness.
The Life Skills Labs are built around real-world application. Students do more than listen—they participate in discussions, role-playing, demonstrations, group activities, and practical exercises that prepare them for school, employment, college, relationships, and adulthood.
Workshop topics include Effective Communication, Interviewing Skills, Dress for Success, Time Management, Goal Setting, Financial Literacy, Conflict Resolution, Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Work Ethic, Professional Etiquette, Social Media & Your Future, Decision Making, Career Exploration, Resume Basics, Networking, How to Keep a Job, and P.L.A.N. Your Future.
The program also includes MAN UP 101: Skills Every Student Should Know Before Graduation, a signature workshop focused on communication, accountability, punctuality, professionalism, responsibility, and workplace expectations.
Man Up Life Skills Labs can be delivered as a single workshop or customized into a multi-session series for schools, counseling programs, student groups, athletic programs, after-school programs, alternative education programs, and community organizations.
Our mission is simple:
Real Skills. Real Situations. Real Preparation for Life.
